Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by RiverMead to conduct an executive search for a Chief Executive Officer.
RiverMead is a mission-driven, not-for-profit Life Plan Community (LPC) nestled on 96 acres of scenic beauty in Peterborough, in the Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire. Founded in the late 1700s and established with a strong emphasis on independence, dignity, and lifelong community connection, RiverMead opened its original campus (The Mead Campus) in 2001, expanded to create a comprehensive continuum of care that supports aging in place with a second campus (The Village Campus) in 2013, and most recently expanded with additional villas.
RiverMead is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader with a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans.
The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s highly preferred) and ideally, a minimum of ten years’ senior management experience in senior living. Our finalist is a confident, positive individual who is open to alternative views but purposeful in decision-making. Through consistent two-way communication and a collaborative interaction style, the CEO genuinely enjoys building trust and a strong sense of rapport with residents, team members, the Board and the community at large. They possess the gravitas to build consensus in a resident-centric culture and lead through any crises that arise with empathy and professionalism. Transparency and visibility are hallmarks of our CEO’s leadership approach, as is a true passion for maximizing the resident experience and ensuring that RiverMead continues to be the premier LPC in the region.
