Office of the President
Confidential Secretary
Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the President, the Confidential Secretary performs challenging secretarial and clerical duties for the Office of the President; directly supports the Executive Assistant; serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President and its related programs and services; and performs other related work as required. This position entails a high degree of responsibility and use of discretion and independent judgement. The Confidential Secretary role requires a strong commitment to customer service, excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, accuracy and care. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and at least four years of administrative and office management experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement as determined by the University. Candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to: Access, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook; and have experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and/or report writing principles and practices. Bilingual in Spanish and knowledge of accounting budget systems such as Ellucian is preferred. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $50,000 to $60,000. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance. Employment at Kean requires working at any of our New Jersey campus locations or affiliated work sites, which may include, but not be limited to: the main campus in Union; Kean Ocean in Toms River; Kean Skylands in Jefferson Township; Kean Jersey City; Kean at Brookdale in Middletown Township; Manahawkin; Princeton; and Trenton. Location assignments will be based on operational and university needs. Faculty may also be assigned to teach online classes for Kean Global.
