What You Will Do
- Serve as the chief executive for SIUE's integrated health, counseling, and wellness system.
- Provide strategic leadership across Health Services, Counseling Services, and Health Promotion to ensure high-quality, accessible, and equitable care for all students.
- Unite clinical governance, operational oversight, and organizational strategy to advance a comprehensive model of student wellness integrating primary care, behavioral health, prevention, and health education.
- Establish and maintain evidence-based standards of practice, ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements, and lead strategic planning, fiscal management, policy development, quality improvement, and workforce initiatives.
- Directly supervise the Directors of Health and Counseling Services, the Business Manager, staff physicians, nurse practitioners, and the Behavioral Interventionist, with indirect oversight of interdisciplinary medical, counseling, pharmacy, laboratory, health promotion, and administrative teams.
- Guide operational strategy, resource allocation, and cross-departmental coordination to promote student well-being, enhance institutional effectiveness, and strengthen SIUE's commitment to holistic wellness and student success.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- A Masters Degree in one of the following as noted below:
Social Work (M.S.W.); M.A., M.S., M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology, Health Care Administration, Health Science Management, Nursing, or field related to either Counseling/Psychology or Medicine/Nursing. - 2+ years of supervisory experience in a health, counseling, or wellness program
- Licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Illinois in a field of Counseling or Nursing
- 2+ years of program administration experience in a college or university health, counseling, or wellness program administration.
- Current and active blood-borne pathogen and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of program administration experience in a in a college or university health, counseling, or wellness program.
