Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Non-profit professional to join our team. This role is essential in promoting our mission and engaging with the community to drive support for our initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, capable of managing projects and fostering relationships with stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative environment. This position is currently filled by a volunteer executive who will on-board and mentor the hired candidate to ensure transition success.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance organizational outreach and engagement.
Lead initiatives that promote the non-profit’s mission and objectives within the community.
Cultivate relationships with potential donors, partners, and volunteers through effective negotiation and communication.
Oversee project management activities to ensure timely execution of programs and events.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within operations to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align organizational goals with community needs.
Conduct presentations and workshops to raise awareness about the organization’s mission.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, providing recommendations for future improvements.
Experience
Proven experience in management roles within the non-profit sector or related fields.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and operations management.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of initiatives.
Leadership experience that showcases the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving common goals.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies is preferred.

Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in the nonprofit or public sector.
Proven success in budget management, strategic planning, and staff supervision.
Experience in fund development, grant writing, and donor relations.
Familiarity with nonprofit compliance, including IRS 501(c)(3) regulations and state charitable requirements.
Leadership & Management
Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
Strong background in financial stewardship — able to read financial statements, manage restricted funds, and oversee audits.
Excellent skills in board relations and experience working collaboratively with governing bodies.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into measurable goals.
Willingness and stamina to work a flexible 45+ hour week, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
Communication & Relationship Building
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to serve as the public face of the organization, representing its mission with professionalism and passion.
Proven success building partnerships with donors, community leaders, and other organizations.

Hands-on leadership style — willing to engage directly in operations when needed.
Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting (QuickBooks for Nonprofits).
Experience managing grant budgets and reporting.
Familiarity with food service operations or community-based programs.
