Investment Grade Credit Desk Strategist - US Corporates
What's the Opportunity?
Responsible for credit sector analysis of US Financials Corporates. Primary objectives are to ensure timely and relevant intelligence is provided to the sales and trading team and to our clients.
What will you do?
- Advise clients on credit developments and relative value opportunities on assigned sector coverage through written commentary, phone calls, meetings and presentations.
- Brief and educate colleagues in sales and trading regularly on key credit themes and developments across assigned sector coverage.
- Work closely with desk traders on risk positions and trading opportunities.
- Maintain and develop close relationships with colleagues in Debt Capital Markets, HY Desk, Equity Research, Rates, etc.
- Advise on aggregate IG desk positioning and provide input on risk positions, highlighting relative value opportunities as well as areas of concern.
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Credit Research/Sector Analyst on the buy-side or sell-side.
- Experience and knowledge of Bank and Non-Bank Financials sectors. Knowledge of BDC sector a plus.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, ability to adapt presentation to a wide variety of audiences.
- Ability and willingness to operate and react quickly to market developments
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets and bond valuations
- Strong understanding of economics, business cycles, credit markets
- Series 7 & 63 Required
- Undergraduate Degree
- CFA designation and/or MBA a plus

The expected salary range for this particular position is $225,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
