Department Overview
The Global Institutional Sales Team ("GIS") is a component of the Investor Partners Group ("IPG") that is responsible for the investor facing activity of the Firm. The GIS Team manages relationships with existing investors and develops relationships with new investors. They target consultants, large foreign and domestic institutions, wealth management firms, family offices and individuals. They oversee the investor experience including the onboarding process, proactive updates and inbound inquiries. The teams collaborate closely with other departments to develop and execute fundraising and investor service plans in line with Firm objectives.
Position Responsibilities
This role is part of Golub Capital's expanding Business Development ("BD") Team. The individual will be responsible for fundraising and relationship management within the investment consultant segment, requiring a comprehensive understanding of Golub Capital's organizational structure and investment strategies.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the BD Team to build and deepen relationships at all levels of investment consultant organizations, including developing and educating new relationships
- Introducing Golub Capital's Middle Market Lending strategies to key decision makers including research, field consultant and OCIO Teams
- Developing and implementing marketing plans, determining potential prospects, devising effective engagement models for each target and measuring results
- Responding to internal and external requests with a client service mindset and a strong sense of urgency
- Collecting investment consultant feedback to enhance client interactions and support continuous improvement
- Developing a thorough financial and structural understanding of the Firm's strategies and its lending markets
- Staying informed about industry trends affecting the investment consultant channel and the Firm's Middle Market Lending offerings
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or required; CFA preferred
- At least 6 years of client facing experience at a buy-side firm
- Experience in the consultant channel is required
- Demonstrated experience in direct lending, bank loans and / or leveraged loans is preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly understand and articulate Golub Capital's investment strategy, differentiating factors and competitive advantage
- Strong motivation and the ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines and fundraising goals
- Ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment in which sharing information and collaboration is crucial for success
- Strong presence, perspective and competence that engenders trust and confidence within the investment consultant community
- Ability to travel
- Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture

Compensation and Benefits
For Illinois and New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $190,000 to $230,000 for a Vice President and $160,000 to $185,000 for an Assistant Vice President. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
