About Us:
For nearly 20 years, The Foundation for Animal Care & Education (FACE) has been a beloved animal welfare charity in San Diego, California. In 2023, we were thrilled to expand our lifesaving services to Oahu, Hawaii. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, FACE is dedicated to protecting the human-animal bond by providing financial grants for emergency or critical veterinary care when pet owners are unable to fully afford the cost of treatment. Simply put, we believe no family pet should be euthanized due to financial hardship – a heartbreaking situation known as “economic euthanasia.” To date, FACE has saved the lives of more than 4,000 beloved pets!
Leadership & Culture:
At FACE, we're committed to creating a supportive and thriving environment for our employees, both personally and professionally. Our leadership team is passionate about our mission and fostering a culture that's positive, inclusive, creative, and fun! FACE is led by Executive Director Stash McCollough, an accomplished change-agent with 20 years of experience in fast-paced growth environments. Stash brings a deep commitment to leadership and service, honed through years of executive roles in both private and non-profit organizations in San Diego and Hawaii. She joined FACE in February of 2024, after five years with the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance.
Company History
Established in 2006 by a group of veterinarians and concerned community members.
